The Guy Behind the Pencil
Born in Pennsylvania and raised in New Jersey, I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. I studied graphic design at Montclair State University and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art concentrating in graphic design. Soon after, I entered the field as a graphic designer and illustrator.
When the recession hit the U.S. in 2008, I started doing freelance design work as well as working contract design positions at marketing firms and printing companies. I knew that to move forward in my field, I had to learn Web coding and teach myself the coding standards, but I never thought I would enjoy it so much. I have used these skills in interactive media design along with my print design skills to help clients in the Delaware Valley, the New York Metro region, Virginia and beyond.
Every design project I take on, every tutorial I read and practice, and every seminar I attend are all worthwhile experiences, and they have helped me grow and develop as a designer. As much as I enjoy illustrating, I am equally as passionate about continuing to learn new techniques and procedures. I’m eager to use what I learn to help my clients. When I'm not working, I’m either sketching for fun while listening to E.S. Posthumus, hanging out at the closest Barnes & Noble, or getting out to enjoy the fresh air.
